Fredrik Lanner & Niklas Björkström Wallenberg Fellows

The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation’s investments in young researchers continue with 29 new Wallenberg Academy Fellows awarded 2016. The research challenges that this year’s Academy Fellows are tackling include important issues for the future, such as energy provision and public health.

A total of 8 Wallenberg Fellows in Medicine where awarded 2016 and of these all but one go to researchers at Karolinska Institutet and two are awarded to CIMED Junior Researchers:

Niklas Björkström for his research on The liver’s natural killer cells – how do they work?
