Publication in Cell from the Luca Jovine lab
Structural Basis of Egg Coat-Sperm Recognition at Fertilization is the title of the publication by Isha Raj, Hamed Sadat Al Hosseini et al from the Luca Jovine lab that has now been published in Cell (full article in Cell available here).
We congratulate all authors on this exciting publication that reveals the first atomic details of how sperm recognizes the egg coat and bring insights into the molecular basis of species-specific gamete interaction and sperm penetration through the egg coat.
