Sten Eirik W. Jacobsen awarded the Torsten Söderberg professorship in medicine 2015
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has awarded CIMED Senior Researcher Sten Eirik W. Jacobsen the Torsten Söderberg professorship in medicine 2015. Professor Jacobsen receives the professorship for ”his pioneering studies of blood cell maturation and cancer transformation”.
The professorship, which is funded by the Torsten Söderberg foundation, shall promote internationally leading research within medicine during full-time for five years at a swedish medical faculty. The grant amounts to a total of 10 MSEK.
