The aim of CIMED is to create a dynamic scientific environment with world-class scientists and infrastructure; to further integrate basic and clinical medicine, and to increase the pace of making research findings benefit patients by improved diagnosis and new therapeutic developments.

To support and further develop the research infrastructure serving CIMED researchers at the KI South campus, a call for CIMED Infrastructure Grants was announced Spring 2015 with a deadline for applications June 1st 2015.

CIMED Infrastructure grants 2016-18

The KI/SCC management group has after external review and based on the recommendation by the CIMED Board of Directors, taken a decision regarding allocation of CIMED Infrastructure Grants 2016-2018.

The following core facilities receive funding (in alphabetical order):

  • KI Stem Cell and Tissue bank
    Headed by: Fredrik Lanner & Erik Sundström
    Amount granted: 2 million SEK/ year for 3 years
  • PIF
    Headed by: Moustapha Hassan
    Amount granted: 1,5 million SEK/ year for 3 years
